Contract: Permanent Starts: Immediately About the role • This role works closely with and is supported by one designer and two directors • You will plan and implement advertising campaigns for travel reader offers in The Independent and The Belfast Telegraph • You will learn how different newspaper readerships respond to different types of holiday advertisements and use this knowledge to maximize response from our daily advertising schedules • You will be involved in all aspects of the advertising process from product selection to copy writing, working with our designers, monitoring response and planning tactical/strategic advertising campaigns • You will develop planning as well as analytical skills across a variety of media including national press display & classified, inserts & supplements, e-media, online and direct mail • Use of English language (written and spoken) and attention to detail are important. These skills are used daily, reading and editing copy and signing off advertisements • You will ideally have experience of and an interest in newspapers, advertising, sales and marketing; as well as in travel. However it's not essential as full training will be given. About you • You will be bright, motivated and fun to work with • You will be a fast learner, adaptable with bags of energy • You will enjoy daily deadlines coupled with the rush of seeing your own work in print every day • You will be great communicator, able to build good working relationships with clients and colleagues; both face-to-face and on the telephone • You will be comfortable making decisions on your own authority • You will be happy to travel to London for meetings and occasionally to Belfast
